Global Conversations - Urban Affairs articles

During my Master of Global Affairs degree, I served as the Urban Affairs Writer for the Munk School’s student journal, Global Conversations.

I wrote three articles for the journal, focusing on three very different urban policy areas:

For the Fall 2017 issue, I wrote about the Liuzhou Forest City in China and the possibility that it represents for sustainable renaturing around the world.

For the Winter 2018 issue, I wrote about Refugee Integration in Europe and how municipal authorities are working around both budgetary and legal constraints from their national governments to help keep their local communities safe and welcoming.

For the Spring 2018 issue, I wrote about the trend of Smart Decline policies in the United States and about how policymakers in shrinking cities need to think differently than the constant-growth mindset of the past.
